Humanitarian Frontiers Lab Open Doors
We are proud to announce that the Humanitarian Frontiers Lab has opened its doors this month. As a leading academic lab based at the University of Sydney, the research group will conduct research in three core areas that include: (1) humanitarian shelter and settlements; (2) disaster risk reduction and resilience and; (3) poverty reduction and sustainable development. Under the leadership of Dr. Aaron Opdyke, the lab will pursue innovative research that seeks to connect engineering and the social sciences to examine some of the most pressing problems facing society today.
The Humanitarian Frontiers Lab will also train and host researchers across all levels of academic study from undergraduates to doctoral students. For interested prospective students, please see our Student Opportunities page to learn more about joining the lab.
